Missoni is a world pervaded by signs that, punctuating surfaces with geometric cadences and chromatic expansions, create a sense of unity within variety, of visual movement within simple and immediate forms. The Spring Summer 2027 collection is imbued with a free, hedonistic, vacation-loving spirit. The horizon is the sea, meant not only as a place, but as a spontaneous and immediate way of dressing, even in the city: tying one shirt over another, for example, and wearing a pair of men’s trousers underneath; mixing knitwear and denim. The transition from day to evening, from liquid sundresses to sensual dresses, from miniskirts worn with shirts to tops worn over wide trousers, is a succession of motifs that begins with faded, vibrant patterns in bright, floral tones, takes on geometric cadences in dense, earthy notes, before darkening and rising in metallic sparkles. It's called Missonism: a unique and recognizable way of working with line and color.
