Margherita Chiarva

b169690

Margherita is an itinerant photographer who works freelance for various magazines and online projects. After studying cinematography  at the University in Milan she graduated from a photography MA at Central Saint Martins school of art and design where she developed an increased interest in analog photography and innovative printing techniques.
Her works denote a need for an image that goes beyond the documentary commitment, which to her is granted. She uses experimental printing techniques, working with rare type of papers and supports. Her eye seeks the pure view.  With the photographic medium she questions the relationship with reality. The techniques used by Margherita involve both manual and craftwork that go against the excessive sharpness of digital photography. Her aim is to make the viewer participating in the unusual visions of the usual.
