The Women for Women charity, together with Browns, the historic British department store, has organized a runway show as well as an auction of one-of-a-kind pieces donated by notable brands with the aim of raising money to help women survivors of war.
Missoni has donated a look from its Summer 2013 collection made up of a lace knit dress with a geometric print nuanced from pink to white and embellished with Swarovski embroidery. The auction will be led by Simon de Pury which will follow the runway show and can be followed online at the charity auctions online platform, Gavel and Grand site.
Many other fashion houses such as Tom Ford, Nina Ricci, Alberta Ferretti, Haider Ackermann and Ann Demeulemesteer will be participating in the runway show alongside Missoni. The event will take place today, at the French Embassy residence in Kensington Gardens.
Since 1993, the Women for Women International programme has helped more than 370,000 women survivors of war and conflict become active and integral parts of society.
