The Life of Lamé
Would Missoni have shot to its stratospheric heights of fame so quickly were it not for those lamé blouses strutting down the runway under the bright lights of the Palazzo Pitti in the Spring of 1967? Hat-Ology

During Milan fashion week, on saturday, September 21th an exhibition of the legendary hat collection of the late fashion editor Anna Piaggi, will open at Palazzo Morando in Milan thru November 30th.

The exhibition, entitled “Hat-ology”, is curated by her favourite milliner Stephen Jones, who will guide the visitor through the editor’s life one hat at a time: from a McDonald’s baseball cap to creations by Schiaparelli and Chanel Haute Couture, but also featuring Jones’s own designs.

The setting of the installation will re-create the style of her eccentric apartment in Milan, in order to give a real taste of how the style icon Piaggi lived.

For this particular occasion, Missoni reveals here previously unpublished pictures from Anna Piaggi’s visits to the home of her friends Ottavio and Rosita Missoni.
