Endless Summer

Memorabilia and vintage photos of dandies cresting the waves

Not a lot of people are aware that as far as 1920 King Edward VIII was already braving – with his usual elegance – Waikiki’s giant waves, in Hawaii. Wallis Simpson’s husband was, after all, one of the most style-conscious among British monarchs. The real revolution, however, came with the Sixties, when British youth discovered Malibu, Bondi Beach and their very own Brighton.

A revolution in life and style told by the exhibition titled Sixties SURFER!, on show from February 15th at the Museum of British Surfing.

Re-see the Men’s Winter 2014 Runway inspired by the world of surfers.
