Nature as a representation of freedom - this is one of the main themes of the Missoni world, establishing the idea of a way of living and thinking that doesn’t follow the rules. And there, amidst the sand and the shrubbery of the island of Tenerife, the Missoni philosophy comes to life in the shots and moments from behind the scenes.

 

 

The rocky terrain meets the colours and “pop” shapes from the summer 2014 collection for the advertising campaign shot by Viviane Sassen with art direction by M/M Paris. The campaign plays with images, shapes, colours and proportions that border on the surreal.

 

 

Christie Turlington Burns and Vincent Lacrocq are the protagonists of the campaign and make their way through the most unexpected setting with semi-transparent oversized letters, showing the wilder side of one of the Canary Islands.

 

 

It’s a game of perspectives that turns the spectator’s attention to the strong lettering and prints in the collection, for an idea of aesthetic – and, most of all, intellectual – freedom.
