As Carnival approaches, Missoni has chosen a Colombina-style mask that is a true explosion of colours and materials.
Shades of pink come together with nuances of yellow, white and sky blue for a mask with an antique feel but with a very modern image. Far off from that white we associate with Venice, Missoni’s interpretation chooses to return to the multi-coloured prints of the theatre to make the Carnival mask not just an object but also a true experience.
Other brands, such as Giorgio Armani with its Pierrot mask, Dolce&Gabbana with its Pulcinella mask, Roberto Cavalli with its Stenterello mask and Dsquared2 with its Arlecchino mask, have chosen to participate in this charity initiative created by Alessandro Enriquez for Vogue Bambini during Pitti Immagine Bimbo 2014.
During this show, Missoni will launch its winter 2014 girl’s clothing line. On Friday, Jan. 17, 11 girls’ “play dresses” will be displayed at Luisaviaroma in Florence and later sold on eBay to contribute to the OrphanAid project, which helps families with children at risk of abandonment.
