The Life of Lamé

Bra-free and baring it all, Missoni and its models stomped down the runway and into a whole new era. […]

Missoni Moments Now On

Models and more

From the Collection’s four inspirational elements, earth, water, air and fire, to the natural looks and smiles backstage: images and emotions from the Women’s Summer 2014 fashion show held 22 September at the Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan.

From the make-up until the final fitting, each phase of the show preparations was a mix of swift and familiar movements. We’ve documented these in the video and images above. Hanne Gaby, Joan Smalls, Lindsey Wixson and many new faces this season wore Missoni Home’s iconic zigzag bathrobes while a team of make-up artists and hair stylists translated the collection’s inspiration into hair and make-up.

The look conceived by Angela Missoni for make-up and hair was natural, meticulous and graceful. Make-up artist Lucia Pieroni thinly lined the models’ eyes with a Japanese-inspired look while hair stylist Eugene Souleiman realized a multi-faceted long hairstyle: neat in the front, but messy on the sides. This hairstyle was made to stand out even more with a resin accessory and extensions for contrast.
