A Journey to Morocco

Desert's charm is enhanced by colours and patterns of a Missoni stole

The colours reflect the golden sand, blue sky and red earth contrasting with the patterns and shades of the colourful world of Missoni.

Teresa Maccapani Missoni takes a journey to a place near the centre of the earth and discovers a new connection between, tradition, expression and cultural heritage: the nomadic world of the Tuareg people bonds with the very Italian world of Missoni, one that is open to journeys and discovery, having stopped in Ait-Ben-Haddou, close to Marrakech.

Stoles take the lead in the Fall and Winter 2013 seasons, fluttering playfully in the wind yet ready to take on new forms as turbans. Since desert-dwellers have always used colour as a distinctive symbol, the Missoni zigzag adds new shades to the deep blue of their clothing for a combination of images and ideas that aim to begin a new adventure.
